How to remind guests who haven't RSVPed

Send an RSVP reminder a week before the deadline to anyone who hasn't replied, with a short, personal message and the link to reply. If someone still hasn't answered after the deadline, a phone call usually sorts it out before you confirm numbers with the caterer.

Know who's missing

If RSVPs all arrive in one place, you will see at a glance who hasn't replied. With answers scattered across messages and emails, this is what takes the most time.

A short, personal message

One to one is better than a general message. For example:

  • “Hi Marta! We're still missing your reply for the wedding. Could you let us know by Friday? Here's your link.”
  • “We're confirming numbers with the caterer: can you tell us if you're coming? It takes a minute with this link.”

If they still don't reply

Once the deadline has passed, call them. If there's still no answer, decide with the caterer whether to count them or not, and note it down for the seating plan.
